AGREEMENT WITH THE WEST POMERANIAN UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGY OF JANUARY 13, 2016
On January 13, 2016 Grupa Azoty Zakłady Chemiczne Police S.A. and PDH Polska S.A. together with the West Pomeranian University of Technology in Szczecin signed the first agreement on mutual cooperation in the field of student education. As part of the Agreement execution, a new specialty - Olefin Production Process Engineering - was established at the Faculty of Chemical Technology and Engineering of the West Pomeranian University of Technology in Szczecin, with the major in Chemical and Process Engineering (full-time, MSc studies).
Under the Agreement signed at the Faculty of Chemical Technology and Engineering of the West Pomeranian University of Technology in Szczecin, the Faculty Laboratory of Process Dynamics and Control was also modernized. The expenditures incurred by Grupa Azoty Zakłady Chemiczne Police S.A. for modification of the laboratory amounted to EUR 70 thousand. The laboratory was equipped with 5 specialist analysis and research stations.
When implementing the scope of the signed Agreement, PDH Polska S.A.
awarded scholarships dedicated to students of the established specialty.
Grupa Azoty Zakłady Chemiczne "Police" S.A. also provided the scholars
with the possibility of apprenticeships and paid internships.
AGREEMENT WITH THE WEST POMERANIAN UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGY OF FEBRUARY 10, 2017
On February 10, 2017 another Agreement on mutual cooperation was signed concerning the training of future employees of PDH Polska S.A., with the major in Chemical and Process Engineering, specialty of Olefin Production Process Engineering. As part of the Agreement, PDH Polska S.A. may suggest the subjects of diploma theses concerning the olefin production process.
When implementing the scope of the signed Agreement, PDH Polska S.A. once again granted scholarships dedicated to students of the Olefin Production Process Engineering specialty. Grupa Azoty Zakłady Chemiczne "Police" S.A. and PDH Polska S.A. guaranteed also the possibility of participating in apprenticeships.
In addition, in the said Agreement, Grupa Azoty Zakłady Chemiczne "Police" S.A. obliged itself to finance the extension of the equipment of the Process Dynamics and Control Laboratory at the Faculty of Chemical Technology and Engineering of the West Pomeranian University of Technology in Szczecin, founded by the Company in 2016.
At present, PDH Polska S.A. employs 6 graduates of the Olefin Production Process Engineering specialty.
CURRENT ACTIVITIES
In 2018, it is planned to sign a letter of intent with the Police Poviat in the area of improving professional qualifications. The cooperation will be aimed at increasing the accessibility of professional education and training in a modern way, corresponding to actual needs of employers.
PDH Polska S.A. also works on launching a scholarship and internship program dedicated to students of technical faculties. The main objective of the program being developed is to build competence in order to achieve full operating capacity of future production units.
In addition, the process of approving the Agreements with selected scientific and research units of the West Pomeranian University of Technology in Szczecin within the scope of technical and research support is in progress.
