Małgorzata Królak is an accomplished industrial and energy executive with a proven track record in leading large-scale capital projects, operational turnarounds, and strategic transformations across Europe. She combines financial discipline with a strong engineering foundation, specializing in value creation in CAPEX-intensive industrial assets and complex investment programs.
Before her appointment as President & CEO of Grupa Azoty Polyolefins S.A., she led international operations in the renewable and industrial energy sectors, including strategic partnerships with global industrial clients and the rollout of utility-scale Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) investments.
Between 2023 and 2025, she built and scaled Quanta Energy’s operations in Italy, expanding the company’s portfolio into large-scale BESS projects and developing an innovative solar-as-a-service model for industrial clients.
From 2018 to 2022, she served as Executive Director for Program and Business Development at Electromobility Poland S.A., where she developed key industrial partnerships and prepared the execution phase of Poland’s first electric vehicle manufacturing project.
Between 2016 and 2018, as Vice President for Strategy and Operations at Cersanit Group, she implemented a comprehensive value-enhancement and operational-efficiency program across the Group’s European manufacturing portfolio.
From 2013 to 2016, she was Executive Director for Development and Technology at ORLEN Group, responsible for the preparation of major refinery and petrochemical investments and for building the company’s R&D capabilities.
Earlier in her career, she worked with Roland Berger in the Oil & Gas Competence Center, advising European energy and industrial clients on growth and restructuring strategies.
She holds degrees in Management and Finance from the Warsaw School of Economics, and postgraduate degrees in Chemical and Process Engineering as well as Gas Turbines and Combined Cycle Systems from the Warsaw University of Technology. She also completed executive programs in Strategic Negotiation at Harvard Law School (Cambridge, MA).
