A cooperation agreement with the West Pomeranian University of Technology

Grupa Azoty Polyolefins and the West Pomeranian University of Technology in Szczecin have signed an agreement to improve the qualifications of the company's employees in line with the latest trends in science.

- The signing of the contract is another step in the cooperation initiated in 2018 between Grupa Azoty Polyolefins and the West Pomeranian University of Technology- says Andrzej Niewiński, Phd, President of Grupa Azoty Polyolefins S.A.- Building partnerships and synergies between scientific units and business is conducive to build competences, development of industry and modern technologies. A personalized training offer for our employees, prepared by the academic staff of ZUT, will allow us to meet the challenges of the modern economy to an even greater extent, the basis of which is cross-sector cooperation.

The employees of the Grupa Aozty Polyolefins will participate in theoretical and laboratory classes conducted at the Faculty of Chemical Technology and Engineering at the Department of Polymers and Biomaterials Engineering, at the Department of Chemical and Process Engineering, at the Department of Organic Chemistry and Physical Chemistry and at the Faculty of Food Sciences and Fisheries at the Center Bioimmobilization and Innovative Packaging Materials.

- The main branch of the economy of the West Pomeranian Voivodeship is the chemical industry, and in the structures of the West Pomeranian University of Technology in Szczecin there is the Faculty of Chemical Technology and Engineering with the highest scientific category. We are a leading university in Poland in terms of innovation and the number of patents, educating highly specialized staff for the developing sector of the chemical industry. Our university was appreciated, which resulted in the appearance of ZUT on the Polish Map of Research Infrastructure and the award of large financial resources. Therefore, the Center for Advanced Materials and Manufacturing Process Engineering was established, which will be equipped with the most modern research infrastructure, offering open access to microscopic, spectroscopic and analytical techniques in the field of scientific research. As part of the center, eight new laboratories will be built, equipped with 18 modern apparatus and 67 elements of research infrastructure - said the Rector of the West Pomeranian University of Technology, Prof. Jacek Wróbel.
