On 20th September 2018, a press conference was held at the headquarters of Grupa Azoty Zakłady Chmiczne "Police" S.A., attended by Mr Andrzej Niewiński - President of the Management Board of PDH Poland, Mr Marek Czyż - Vice-President of the Management Board of PDH Poland and Mr Włodzimierz Zasadzki - Vice-President of the Management Board of Grupa Azoty Z.Ch. "Police". The conference was devoted to discussing the progress of work in the Polymers Police Project. Production of polypropylene will enable diversification of Azoty Z.Ch. "Police" Group's revenues. Members of the PDH Management Board indicated that the polypropylene production plant is a key investment for Grupa Azoty. The investment outlays will pay for themselves very quickly if there are no significant changes in the market environment. Since January this year, the Tender Committee held meetings with potential bidders, which resulted in a revised EPC contract. The documentation approved by the Management Board and Supervisory Board of PDH was delivered to the interested parties in accordance with the project schedule. Bids for comprehensive project implementation will be submitted in the last quarter of 2018. The planned selection of the general contractor is a key point in the entire project implementation process, and its selection is scheduled for the first half of 2019. On the other hand, as the planned date of commercial launch of the installation, the Management Board of PDH enters into force at the end of 2022. Another important fact from the point of view of the local community is the fact that the project will create new jobs - over 200 people will find permanent employment in the Company.
