The Product Development and Innovation Manager will lead the product development efforts of Grupa Azoty Polyolefins within a cross-functional team ensuring a continuous improvement of the Grupa Azoty Polyolefins product portfolio
He/She will also ensure that innovative processes, technologies and products are scouted, evaluated and incorporated into the Grupa Azoty Polyolefins development pipeline
The main duties of the person employed on this position will be:
Act as focal point for the development of the Grupa Azoty Polyolefins product development and innovation process – develop a solid innovation process to be used within Grupa Azoty Polyolefins
Identify opportunities for new products, technologies, or their performance improvement, based on very good understanding of the market and application benefits for the user
Lead cross-functional teams with GA Polyolefins and the GA Group of companies related to product development and innovation activities
Identify any new market needs and translate those into development opportunities fot Grupa Azoty Polyolefins.
Act as responsible for new research, IP, publications, technology roadmap
Steer and facilitate knowledge sharing and support project teams in solving problems
Knowledge and skills:
Excellent knowledge and understanding of Polypropylene products, applications and end-user needs
Excellent understanding of Polypropylene production as well as compounding technologies
Excellent project management skills
Very good communication and presentation skills
Ability to lead and work in and with inter-disciplinary teams
Strong analytical skills and results-oriented work style
High level of self-motivation and commitment
Qualifications:
University degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or a similar qualification
>5 years experience in product development and product innovation preferrable in the polymer industry
Good knowledge in MS Office
Fluent in English. Polish language skills is a clear plus given interaction within the Grupa Azoty Group of companies
